Form of workWe are seeking a well-trained Nurse Practitioner to join the Department of Psychiatry of Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) in the Department s INPATIENT PSYCHIATRY division at WMCHealth s Behavioral Health Center in Valhalla, New York. The ideal candidate will have a track record of clinical accomplishments in the treatment of patients with serious mental illness, and will provide services to adults, including triage, diagnostic evaluations, follow-up care, prescribing, and individual counseling and group treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include reviewing patients' medication records to determine the appropriateness of the existing medication regimen.
This is an employed position through WMC Advanced Physician Services, which is a subsidiary professional corporation of WMCHealth. Benefits are comprehensive and include (minimum work hours apply):

Qualifications / Requirements:
Applicants must have a Master's degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner certification in Psychiatry, and a valid New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner.

The WMCHealth Behavioral Health Center (BHC) is a freestanding facility operating a 97-bed inpatient psychiatric program for children, adolescents and adults as well as comprehensive outpatient mental health services. In addition to receiving patients directly from WMC s Emergency Medical Services Department, BHC is also a major transfer center for patients requiring psychiatric hospitalization from across the Lower Hudson Valley.
WMC Advanced Physician Services PC (APS) employs doctors and mid-level clinicians working in WMCHealth s hospital-based and community-based clinical programs including at Mid-Hudson Regional.
