Provide comprehensive maintenance support for the entire polishing pad manufacturing facility, encompassing office spaces, building grounds, and all on-site mechanical equipment. This role will require a self-driven and proficient Maintenance Technician with expertise in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in essential skills for effective manufacturing equipment maintenance.
This role is crucial in supporting various manufacturing processes aimed at delivering high-quality custom polishing pads and polishing equipment to our Automotive, Aerospace and Marine clientele.
Ideal Hours would be: 12:30PM - 4:30PM (4 Hours)
Hourly Rate: $20.00/hr
Essential Responsibilities:

- Self-driven and proficient Maintenance Technician with expertise in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production, along with scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
- Dismantle machinery, remove/replace defective parts, and conduct preventative maintenance on production machines (e.g., grease and oil).
- Determine changes in part requirements by inspecting with various measuring instruments.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Awareness for and proactive communication about machinery and processes and supplies to ensure continuity of production.
- Ability to adapt to changes in priority and needs with ease and grace.
- Ability to serve the needs of individuals for the benefit of the team’s accomplishments (“do what it takes” to get the job done)
- Work with Manufacturing Supervisor on performance metrics, goals, employee reviews.
- Ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and safety measures for everyone’s safety.
- Strong track record of success in a manufacturing production maintenance environment
- Previous training and experience in manufacturing maintenance is a must.
- Experience using an ERP system; Shop Track and Syteline a plus.
- Must be highly organized, motivated, and coachable.
- Forklift certified preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Additional secondary education - Maintenance Technician Degree/Diploma from WCTC or similar
