General support and assistance, including:
- Welcoming clients and guests in person and by telephone.
- Answering and directing inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
- Opening, reviewing, and routing incoming correspondence.
- Transcribing correspondence, legal briefs and memos.
- Assist with document preparation for trials and hearings.
- Tracking income and expenses including preparing billing, overseeing collections and overseeing accounts payable.
- Prepare and e-file legal documents in both Federal and State Court.
- Monitor calendars and deadlines for case management.
- Manage and organize legal documents, including filing, indexing, and retrieving files.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
- Proficient in legal case management software and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, attorneys, and staff members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
