Bedford Learning Programs is a small business in Corvallis, OR. Bedford Learning Program is made up of 6 locations in the Corvallis, Albany and Portland Area. We provide Quality State Certified Family Child Care to working families in our neighborhoods. We have a maximum of 16 children at each mini center.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department with various administrative tasks and ensuring smooth operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR and wants to gain valuable experience in a child care environment.
Duties:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Conduct initial screenings of candidates and assist with the interview process
- Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing offer letters, conducting employee orientations, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
- Maintain employee records and update HR databases (Bamboo HR)
- Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollment and changes
- Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement programs or talent management initiatives
- Assist with data collection and analysis for HR metrics and reporting purposes
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing documents
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in an HR administrative role or similar position
- Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Bamboo HR) and proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Programs
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of change management principles is a plus
