Responsibilities and Duties
- WHO/WHAT: I spy with my little eye: coats that need hanging up, a dentist appointment that needs to be confirmed, and school forms that have gone un-signed. Are you a polished professional who prefers the household management side of being a nanny? Boy-oh-boy-oh-boy do we have the perfect role for you! Mom is a lawyer and dad is a business owner, and they are seeking a true problem-solver to run their organized home, which can get quite hectic with three sons (ages two, four, and six). We’ve worked with this wonderful family a few years ago and matched them with their nanny who supported them for three and a half years! And if our ringing endorsement wasn’t enough, you’ll also have mega control over designing your schedule. You can work two, six-hour days per week, or three, four-hour days, or even four, three-hour days. The exception is one fixed afternoon from 2:30 pm–5:30 pm where childcare will take center stage. On that day, you’ll pick up the boys from school and bring them home. These young fellows can get a little wild but are big softies with caring hearts for their nanny and each other. You’ll chase them around playing cops and robbers, build forts together, or just supervise as they burn off some steam riding their bikes and scooters outside. It is possible that you may be asked to provide childcare, as needed, if a child is out of school or camp for the day, but only within your typical hours. But other than this limited childcare, your primary duties will be household management centric, and truly in a proactive way. Common tasks include laundry (sheets and ironing too), dishes, vacuuming, sweeping, tidying, running errands using your own vehicle, shopping, restocking items, implementing processes, scheduling appointments, etc. There are no pets and no allergies. Lastly, even when they pretend not to be, kids are always listening and it’s important for you to model proper grammar, behavior, and manners. So, if you’re always mentally correcting spelling mistakes, then we want to meet you so APPLY right now!
The Ideal Nanny IS… DETAIL-ORIENTED. Proactive, organized, and energetic, you’re always scanning to see what needs to get done and then do it with excellence. You value education and common sense; you’re smart and it shows in your demeanor and communication. Kind and personable, people of all ages relate to you. With your sleeves rolled up, you’re ready to help restore serenity and organization to this bustling home. You’re also reliable and punctual because these parents run hard for their careers and family, so they must be able to count on you. For the right professional, this is a role that could last for years, so if this sounds good to you, then send your high standards our way and APPLY today!
