Nanny/Household Manager

Our family is looking for a caring, organized, and reliable Nanny/House Manager to provide childcare and help maintain our energetic, fast-paced household of six. You will be responsible for assisting in the care of our four children with ages ranging from newborn to 10 years old. As an extension of the family, this position would encompass a range of responsibilities, including childcare, housekeeping, and meal preparation. This role will also include occasional domestic and international travel, so a flexible schedule is needed! Our main focus is finding a compassionate and hardworking Nanny/House Manager who can provide a safe and nurturing environment for the kids while efficiently managing household tasks.

Responsibilities - Childcare

• Provide attentive and loving care to four children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Prepare older children for school, including dressing, packing lunches, and transporting.
• Care for newborn while older siblings are at school.
• Facilitate educational and recreational activities that promote physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
• Assist with homework and academic tasks as needed.
• Organize and oversee playdates, outings, and extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities - Household Management

• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized home environment. This includes, but is not limited to: doing the dishes daily, picking up common areas, vacuuming wood floors in high-traffic areas, etc.
• Manage household laundry, including washing, folding, and ironing clothes as needed.
• Grocery shopping and meal preparation.
• Organize and maintain household supplies and inventory.
• Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of children's rooms and play areas.
• Manage household schedules, including appointments, school activities, and events.
• Run errands as necessary, such as picking up prescriptions or dry cleaning.

Additional Duties

• Be flexible with working hours, as the schedule may vary from week to week, including occasional overtime and evening hours.
• Be available for extended travel (Up to 1 week at a time, up to 4 times a year) with the family, providing childcare during trips.
• Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding children's activities, needs, and developments.
• Collaborate with other household staff as needed, such as weekly cleaning service or maintenance personnel.
• Assist in an office setting with things like purchasing & stocking supplies, property management, etc.

Qualifications

• A genuine love for children and a deep understanding of their developmental needs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to maintain discretion and respect for the family's privacy.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and provide professional references.

This role is eligible for overtime, paid at time and a half. Additionally, when traveling with the family a flat rate fee of 15 hours/day is paid.
