The Pines is looking for a qualified Part-Time Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our already great team of employees. Ideal candidate must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and help cover shifts when necessary.
This is more of a grounds position that will include dealing with customer service.

Position Summary:
As a key member of the Resort Operations team, Maintenance Staff is responsible for assuring all resort and unit amenities are in working order and provide routine preventative maintenance among other duties while maintaining our high-quality resort standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general landscaping/grounds keeping duties as needed.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, saws, drills, winches, and electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Perform general maintenance duties including but not limited to basic repair work, painting, maintenance of fixtures, appliance installation and removal, and assisting with unit renovations.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that units and resort amenities remain in good working order and meet company standards.
- Responds to guest service requests in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Follows and sets VI’s policies and procedures.
- Follows all city, county and federal government rules and regulations.
- Follows all OSHA rules and regulations.
- Assist Housekeeping and Front Desk as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- Previous landscaping experience.
- Previous experience performing repairs and general maintenance in a hospitality or housing environment.
- Great customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines.
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with owners and staff members.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Valid Driver’s License*
Physical Demands of the Position:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
