Position Information
This position is located at Senior Services administration at 1150 Powder Springs St., Marietta, GA 30064.
Essential Functions
Provides clerical support, performs data entry functions and completes, prepares and submits reports and forms on grant activities.
Participates in various meetings and activities; and provides information and input regarding grant program activities, services, and needs.
Monitors financial status of department grant awards: prepares and submits requests for reimbursements; monitors budget expenditures for grant compliance; maintains accurate and complete grant files; and performs grant related special projects and periodic program monitoring; coordinates with the Human Services Division Director on grant close-out procedures.
Monitors program activities to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal grant programs; assists department in preparation of grant applications and proposals and assists with grant application submittals.
Assists with preparation and submission of grant requests for reimbursements prepares required reports; maintains accurate and complete grant files.
Reviews and analyzes subcontractor invoices and pay documents to determine eligibility for grant reimbursement. Assists with identification of grant opportunities to support the various programs of the department.
Maintains current knowledge of industry, regulatory and legislative developments affecting grant administration, and reporting functions to ensure application to areas of responsibility.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by two years of experience with data entry, grant management functions or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Highly technical client databases to ensure all records are up to date for billing and reimbursement. Position requires preparation of reports ,administrative position, largely data entry driven, proficient to exceptional use of the Microsoft office suites and outlook.
Licenses and Certifications
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Physical Abilities
Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory Requirements
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors
Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
