Job description

This position serves as the Disaster Grants Branch Chief within the Region 4 Grants Program Division, Grants Business Branch. The ideal candidate will have experience with grants, programs, and administration which may include working with state and local emergency management organizations. In addition, the ideal candidate will also be able to oversee and lead a group of people in a highly flexible environment with competing and conflicting priorities.Qualifications:

To qualify for this Supervisory Grants Management Specialist position at the IC-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:

  • Providing direction to and oversight of employees engaged in the management of grants from pre award to close out;
  • Developing, implementing, and interpreting grant management policies, procedures, and practices; and
  • Awarding, administering and monitoring grants to ensure compliance.
