JOB SUMMARY:
The Clarion Inn Elmira Horseheads is looking for a part-time Guest Service Agent to join our growing Front Office team! This position could grow into a full time position including some evening and or/day shifts for the right candidate.
Our Front Desk serves as the first point of contact with guests and handles all stages of a guest’s stay. In this position, you will take reservations, check guests in and out of rooms, direct calls, and answer all guests’ questions and concerns. You will also run reports and complete paperwork to summarize the daily business. You must be personable, highly motivated and have outstanding communication skills. The right candidate will work easily in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an optimistic, energetic attitude to make a difference in each guest’s day. You must be an independent worker and be able to work on your own.
Flexible availability is a must as you will be required to work a variety of shifts including weekends, and/or holidays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES: *Creates guest satisfaction by using your personality to provide excellent customer service and exceed guest expectations.
*Coordinate room assignments and pre-arrival paperwork. Prepare bills for check outs and begin registration packets for guests checking in that day.
*Completes the Hotel’s daily audit process. This includes, but is not limited to; balancing the day’s transactions, running nightly reporting, and rolling the day.
*Keeps accurate counts and balances of the day’s credit card and cash payments.
*Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Hotel information including, but not limited to; room type categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and local area and other general product knowledge along with answer guest questions and inquires.
*Performs duties and assists with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Anthony’s Restaurant and indoor pool, as needed.
*Count cash drawers, manage inventory levels, and maintain department equipment and supplies.
*Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.
*Prior Hotel experience is a plus but not a requirement.

Salary: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
