Position:
The City of Sharonville is actively recruiting for a Part-Time Firefighter/Paramedic. Under the direction of the assigned Lieutenant, the Part-Time Firefighter/Paramedic will perform a wide variety of routine emergent departmental services including EMS, Fire and HazMat responses. 24-hour shifts (6th day rotation) are currently available with a limit of 1500 hours worked per calendar year. Qualified candidates should have excellent technical, customer service and communication skills; proficient knowledge in emergency medical and fire suppression techniques; and the ability to work well with all levels of the general public.

The City of Sharonville is conveniently located 15 miles north of downtown Cincinnati, situated off interstates 75 and 275 and nestled in both Hamilton and Butler Counties. Sharonville has approximately 13,500 residents and, due in large part to its large diverse workforce, a daytime population that exceeds 40,000. Sharonville Fire is an ISO, Class 2 Department serving the community from three fire stations and making over 4,500 responses annually. Crews are involved in fire prevention activities, including, fire inspections as well as public education.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Firefighter Level 1 certification in the state of Ohio; Level 2 certification preferred;
- Must possess a valid Paramedic certification in the state of Ohio;
- Must possess current ACLS and BLS certifications; PHTLS/ITLS, PALS certification(s) preferred;
- Must possess certification of completion of the Firefighter Mile (FFM) physical ability test.
Salary and Benefits:
The compensation package includes an hourly starting rate of $23.40 commensurate with certification and experience.
