SalaryWHALE is the first non-profit respite care facility in Greeley, Colorado, for children with disabilities. We are looking for a nurturing Early Childhood Aide to ensure that the basic and educational needs of our students are met in each classroom!
Early Childhood Aide Responsibilities:
- Assist as needed under the direction of the teachers.
- Implement classroom management strategies set out by the Director/Lead Teacher to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Provide appropriate feedback on student work, treating all children with dignity and respect.
- Work directly with young children
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Help with general housekeeping tasks
- Assist Director, Lead Teacher, and other staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Maintain confidentiality of staff and students
- Is a “team player” who inspires others by example
- Establish and communicate classroom rules, and encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Seek assistance should emergencies arise
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Staff aides must be at least sixteen (16) years of age and must work directly under the supervision of the director or an Early Childhood teacher.
- Infant staff aides must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per year
