Dental Office Receptionist Duties
- Answering phone calls and inquiries from patients, providing exceptional customer service
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care services
- Assisting patients with registration and insurance verification
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate patient care
- Maintaining patient records and updating information in the electronic medical records system
- Providing support to patients during their visit, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
Qualifications:
- Preferred but not required: Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably as a receptionist or similar role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and scheduling
- Proficiency in using phone systems and computer applications for appointment scheduling and record keeping
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to provide quality patient care
