***We are unable to work with 3rd-party or corp-to-corp candidates for this position*** Overview : Our client will be hiring a Computer Technician to work 20-30 hours per week, onsite in Beaverton, OR.
This position will report to the IT Manager. Ideal work hours include 7:00am-8:00am to 2:00-3:00pm.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
Computer Support Technician with 1+ year of experience
Windows troubleshooting and some Linux support experience.
DNS experience for troubleshooting/end user support.
Network troubleshooting (knowledge of VLANs and Subnets)
Small company experience (less than 100 employees)
Preferred:
Scripting and group policy experience is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in IT.
Mac support
This position will report to the IT Manager. Ideal work hours include 7:00am-8:00am to 2:00-3:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- End users support for an organization with approximately 55 employees, desktop/laptop and limited mobile.
- Support Windows (primary), Linux, and Mac.
- Support all levels of the organization including Executives, Accountants, Sales (in Asia), and Engineers.
- Use Zoom and TeamViewer for remote support.
- Monitor workstation backup compliance on a weekly basis and remediate any issues.
- Monitor and validate Windows workstation security update compliance and notify users and push out updates accordingly.
- Review hardware and keep an eye on failed drives.
- Monitor Linux workstation security update compliance and notify users accordingly.
- Ensure workstation and server anti-virus software is kept up to date.
- Facilitate end user general computer and security training.
- Ensure password policy and security policies are being adhered to.
- Periodically review Active Directory for old user and computer objects.
- Decommission old equipment as needed, per IT policies.
- Prepare and redeploy used equipment into production use as needed based on IT policies.
- Prepare and deploy new equipment and software as directed.
- Monitor, investigate, and remediate anti-virus events.
- Maintain the WSUS server, IT ticketing system (Nagios), IT network monitoring system.
