Helpr is a care service platform that supports families in finding excellent full and Part Time primary and emergency (or backup) childcare providers, full and Part Time adult care providers/caregivers, and birth workers including doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.

We’re currently looking for a Part-Time Care Companion in San Diego, California (92120).

A client in the Del Cerro area of San Diego is looking for a friendly and engaging Part-Time Care Companion to provide care, mobility support, and occasional transportation. A care provider is needed Monday through Friday for a total of 24 hours per week. An experienced provider who can be supportive of the client’s social and family-oriented lifestyle will be ideal.

• Schedule:
• M, W, F: 8am to 12pm
• T, Th: 9am to 3pm
• Start date: ASAP
• End date: Potential for long term care
• Rate:
• $25-35/hr
• Pay rate commensurate with experience and certifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engaging companionship related to client’s interests
• Occasional transportation to and from doctor appointments
• Support with daily living tasks, including bathing and toileting needs, while maintaining client’s dignity and privacy
• Mobility support including wheelchair transfers (up to 145 lb.) and use of a walker
• Assist with client’s nebulizer treatments
• Light housekeeping
• Light meal preparation

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years experience with adult/elder care
• Valid license and reliable vehicle + clean driving record
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• CPR + First Aid certified or willing to become certified
• Comfortable with client’s large, friendly dog
• Arabic or Chaldean-speaking a bonus, but not required
• Phlebotomy certification a bonus, but not required

• Day shift
