Part Time Baker

Job Description

We are looking for a baker to join our team in The Plains, VA.

As a Baker, you will prepare many baked goods and other delicious treats for our customers. A Baker must be able to work independently and follow all recipes and procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a clean kitchen and follow health and safety guidelines. If you are passionate about working in the food industry, and sharing your love of baked goods, we're the job for you!

Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for baking by collecting them, washing them, chopping them, and preparing them

• Prepare different kinds of baked goods according to different needs and traditions
• Clean up the kitchen
• Take and keep inventory of ingredients
• Work as a team member to keep a safe and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Perform other duties as needed assigned by the store manager or owner

Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines while working in a kitchen environment
• Able to multitask without losing focus in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work well with others in a team environment
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

We will provide paid training to the right candidate, once training is complete, we will work with you to provide the best schedule to meet your needs as well as our own. If more hours are needed, we are willing to cross train to allow you to work as part of the tea room wait staff as well. This is currently a Part Time position of 12 - 20 hours per week. The hope is to grow this in to a full time position.

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
