The Junior BIM/VDC Specialistsupports the Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design Construction process and works directly under BIM/VDC Manager or Senior BIM/VDC Specialist to facilitate jobsite construction using VDC. He/she analyzes design for assigned conversions to create workable models & ensures constructability. The Junior Specialist checks for quality and accuracy of models, extracts quantities, clash detection and resolution. Visits field to learn concrete construction means and methods.
The Junior BIM/VDC Specialistwill possess competency in the following areas to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. - Under Direct Supervision, Assists in Creating & Maintaining 3D Models
- Supports Pre-construction with Visualization and Presentation
- Supports Research and Implementation of Construction Technology
- Supports Information Technology
- Ensures a Safe Work Environment
- Participates in Training/Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related construction field and limited experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Requires knowledge of 3D/4D/5D BIM and of appropriate platforms
