Nexplore Instructor Role:
The Nexplore Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, in-person STEM instruction to support students fostering the joy of learning. Supplied with lesson plans, curriculum, and materials, the Nexplore Instructor is responsible for preparing for instruction and teaching students in grades K-5. They will report to a Nexplore Program Success Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Arrive on time and prepared to teach (must review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction)
- Manage instructional materials
- Deliver lessons from Nexplore’s collection of 45+ programs (schedule/lessons will be provided)
- Follow required teacher: student classroom ratios at all times, as relevant
- Communicate and collaborate with Nexplore Program Success Manager and site personnel
Nexplore Classes
- Instructors use the Nexplore STEAM curriculum, and lesson plans.
- Materials and resources for the classes will be provided.
Nexplore Instructor Position
- PART-TIME : 1 hour per day (Monday's and Thursday's)
- Location: 2020 W Fletcher Ave, Tampa, FL 33612
- Time: Monday's 3:20 PM-4:20 PM & Thursday's 2:30 PM-4:20 PM
- Program: 3D Printing & Robocoding
- Grade level: Pre-K3 - K- 5th grade
- Compensation - $60/class (60 minutes class includes 15mins before and after)
- NOTE: As part of our selection process, we require all candidates to complete a pre-recording video assessment. This assessment helps us better understand your qualifications and suitability for the role.
Qualifications
- Part-time position
- AA Degree (or higher)
- 2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred)
- Experience working with children
- Educational (development or training) experience
- Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
- Must commit to the full proposed schedule
- Great communication and presentation skills
- Willing to complete a background check and fingerprints (reimbursement available after 8 weeks of classes are completed)
