Summary of Job Duties:
-Greets students and schedules appointments of the Academic Advising Center; assists student with check-in.
-Provides support to the Director of Academic Advising and to the Academic Advisors. Makes travel arrangements and reservations, manages day-to-day functioning of the Academic Advising Center.
-Engages in student outreach related to on-boarding new students and the retention of the current students through various modalities including but not limited to phone, in-person, instant messaging, and/or text messaging.
-Prepares copies of training materials; gathers data and assists with reporting.
Qualifications:
Knowledge should include general office procedure, basic record-keeping procedures, Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to operate standard office equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The applicant must meet the minimum requirements of a formal education equivalent to a high school diploma. Experience in higher education is preferred. An operating knowledge or ability to learn on Workday Student or similar student information system is recommended but not required.
