Outreach is hiring a Part-time Academic Resource Teacherat Outreach York to support students academically and develop life skills during our summer program.
Schedule:
- Staff Training – June 3 to June 7
- Program Dates – June 10 to August 2
- Program Schedule – Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Responsibilities:
- The PT Academic Resource Teacher will resource and support students in reading and math skill building and retention during the summer day camp program.
- The PT Academic Resource Teacher's duties include creating differentiated activities, implementing a variety of creative math and reading activities and projects that engage a range of students, and working with the staff team to supervise students during lunch and on weekly field trips throughout the summer.
Qualifications:
- BA in Education or a related field.
- A passion for working with junior high students.
- Classroom or group experience with adolescents.
- Previous classroom teaching or group experience.
- Ability to engage and motivate junior high students.
- Experience with and sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families.
- Bilingual (Spanish/ English) is a plus.
- A current, valid IL driver's license, along with a good driving record, is required.
- A commitment to Outreach's Statement of Mission & Faith.
