Description
The Kentucky Horse Park is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Park Worker II. The chosencandidate's primary responsibility will be to assist with equine and non-equine events at the Kentucky HorsePark. The Park Worker II is an entry-level position assisting Special Events Department before, during andafter events to ensure a successful event.
Located within minutes of downtown Lexington, KY, the Kentucky Horse Park is a 1,224-acre working horse farm,equine theme park, and internationally renowned equine competition facility. Founded in 1978, the Park isowned and operated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and attracts more than 800,000 visitors from around theworld annually. The Park also boasts a 260-site campground and is home to the International Museum of theHorse, a Smithsonian affiliate.
The ideal candidate should be energetic to work, willing to take direction and have knowledge and ability tooperate several different light/farm equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operates a variety of light motorized vehicles and equipment such as pickup truck, dump truck, watertruck, forklift, tractors and drags, wheel loaders, and skid steer.
- Assists staff in mixing synthetic footing for world-class events.
- Assists Special Events department in conjunction with other KHP departments, to prepare eventfacilities for upcoming shows, including dragging and watering rings, setting up sound systems, deliveringrental items, retrieving horse park assets at the conclusion of events.
- Assists to ensure all events run smoothly while assisting the department with any need that may arise.
- Other duties as assigned
