General

The Paraprofessional Assistant supports the professional accountants by handling administrative tasks, organizing financial documents, and assisting with basic accounting functions. In addition, in maintaining the efficiency of the firm's operations and supporting the work of certified accountants and financial professionals.


Responsibilities:


  • Clerical duties and maintaining electronic files
  • Scanning and filing accounts payable
  • Assist with maintaining client data bases
  • Scanning client info and verifying
  • Filing tax folders and documents
  • Assist with audit report assembly
  • Assemble tax return folders
  • Assist with restocking of office supplies
  • Cover phones and front desk when needed
  • Support tax staff when necessary
  • Pickup and delivery of company assets

  • Detail-oriented and improvement focused
  • Flexibility to change direction frequently between tasks and between different clients; ability to prioritize
  • Solid organizational skills & ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detail
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to recognize and protect confidential and sensitive information and exercise strict discretion when disseminating or sharing information
  • Positive energy and professionalism on a daily basis
  • Provide “5 Star Service” to clients and co-workers

 

Required Experience:


  • 2+ years experience in an office environment preferred
  • Available to work 20-24 hours a week
  • Availability to work overtime during peak periods throughout the year
  • Office 365 proficient
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage project timelines and proficiency utilizing technology
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Valid credentials to work in the U.S.
  • Valid Driver’s License
