Responsibilities:
-Scheduling of new client appointments
-Opening and maintaining client files and closing upon conclusion of matter
-Communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel by phone, correspondence, and email
-Assist attorney in drafting letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery
-Assist attorney with calendaring, billing, and research
Skills:
- Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of legal documents
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
-Strong organizational skills
- Strong administrative skills to handle various tasks efficiently
- Ability to organize and maintain files, both physical and electronic
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, be able to multitask effectively, and have a strong attention to detail.
Prior legal experience preferred; prior experience with document management system preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
