Paralegal - Real Estate

We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Closing Paralegal with knowledge and experience with all aspects of residential and commercial Real Estate transactions.

Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years’ experience with the processing of Real Estate transactions, at least 3 years’ of which has been preparing Closing Disclosures. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience using the software SoftPro Select.

The candidate should work well on teams, maintain a positive attitude, and have a strong work ethic and ability to multitask with ease while providing top flight client service.

Responsibilities

· Ability to thoroughly review a lender's package and HOA estoppel letters, ability to prepare Closing Disclosures for the closing of Real Estate transactions including tax calculations and prorations, debits and credits

· Comprehending title binders, including requirements and exceptions, and apply that knowledge to the closing process

· Efficiently communicating with buyers, sellers, buyers agents, listing agents and lenders simultaneously throughout all phases of a Real Estate transaction

· Thoroughly reviewing a lender’s closing package

Skills

· Deep knowledge of a CD, understanding of every part of the Real Estate closing process and the ability to accurately calculate debits and credits during the course of an evolving transaction

· Proven experience in a fast-paced environment (and the ability to maintain poise and composure and positivity in that environment!)

· Experience with all aspects of Softpro Select and office management tools (MS Office software, in particular)

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail and the ability to take feedback

· Knowledge of Post Closing requirements including satisfactions and releases as well as final title opinion requirements
