Our Client is Actively looking for Creditors' Rights Paralegal Candidate to join their team in Greenville, Raleigh, New Bern, Wilmington, or Asheville.
Our client is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring bankruptcy dockets and email notifications;
- Drafting legal documentation including, but not limited to, pleadings in State and Federal Court, discovery, motions, notices, forbearance and loan modification agreements, and other case-related documentation;
- Filing and serving State and Federal civil actions;
- Filing and serving bankruptcy notices of appearance, proofs of claim, motions, objections, ballots and any other case-related pleadings;
- Scheduling, calendaring, docketing and preparing for hearings.
*All paralegal functions are performed under the supervision of an attorney and paralegal supervisor.
Applicants must be multi-task oriented, well organized, analytical, have excellent written and oral communication skills, have great attention to detail, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment.
Applicants should have at least 2 years' experience in handling all aspects of bankruptcy, as well as experience in the areas of civil litigation at the State and Federal levels. A working knowledge of State and Federal court systems and the ability to understand and follow Local, State and Federal Rules of court are a must. The successful candidate will have excellent math, English, writing and grammar skills. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel a must.
