DISH Network is seeking a legal support professional to support the M&A, Securities and Corporate Governance Team in the legal department. This role will report to a managing member of the team in DISH’s Legal Department and will work closely with all members of the team.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
- Assist attorneys with review and preparation of various legal documents; catalog, file and organize legal documents.
- Assist with closing duties (e.g., collecting, filing and circulating documents for review and signature); perform due diligence and research, prepare related reports.
- Assist in the management and execution of various corporate-related aspects of transactions and conducting legal research on various corporate law issues.
- Preparing meeting materials and minutes, preparing and managing Corporate Governance and related policies, monitoring and reporting on external governance trends and best practices.
- Assist with the management of legal entities and the Company's legal structure, including organizing and dissolving entities and providing ongoing compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Assist with the Company's SEC filings and earnings releases.
- Assist in other substantive legal areas as needed.
- Work with members of Legal leadership, attorneys and staff on departmental matters.
A successful applicant will have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university, and 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience in contracts, contract administration and/or database management (preferred but not required); paralegal certification and experience with contract management systems (preferred but not required).
- Demonstration of excellent written and oral communications skills is required, along with demonstration of a high level of proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Experience in Diligent Entity Management or CSC Entity Management Software (preferred but not required).
- Experience with public company entity management and entity compliance (preferred but not required)
- The ability to adapt quickly and take charge of a complex and dynamic office environment; strong organizational skills.
- Experience in large corporate legal environments, and specific experience with telecommunications, technology and/or other focused areas (preferred but not required).

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
