Job Summary:
Production and service of cold foods and desserts.
The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: Late-April or late-May through mid- to late-September 2024 (exact dates vary by location)
Pay: $18.00/hr
Schedule: Typical schedule is 45-50 hours (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

• Production and service of cold foods and desserts.
• Development and training of 2-7 employees.
• Monitor production levels and assign tasks to Kitchen Worker.
• Communicate closely with Chef on duty.
• During peak service times, assist attendants with plating items for service.
• Monitors guest buffets and cold bars to ensure all items are available and presentable.
• Maintain and enforce established Xanterra standards of sanitation throughout pantry/salad areas of the kitchen.
• Must either have completed or will complete the ServSafe Manager training at beginning of Xanterra employment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have a working knowledge of basic cooking practices.
• Previous supervisory experience and understanding of high volume kitchen operations.
• Being able to remain calm in a high stress environment is essential for these positions.
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced, high stress environment.

Physical Requirements include:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
• Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
