DESCRIPTION OF JOB/DUTIES: A painter helper… -furnishes (or holds at the ready) tools, materials, and supplies for painters as they paint and apply coatings; -cleans work areas prior to and following painting or coating activities; -prepares surfaces (sprays water, caulks, removes old paint, sands, etc.); -masks areas NOT to be painted/coated; -maintains and cleans tools and equipment (spray machines, ladders, brushes, rollers, cords, etc.); -paints and/or applies coatings under the direction of painters; -must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (for short distances); -occasionally works indoors; and, -frequently works outdoors as required in varying conditions (sometimes uncomfortable) and climates.
