Job Description: Paint and Prep Technician

M&S Machining is seeking candidates who are highly motivated and talented preppers, painters, or individuals with an interest to learn! If you are hardworking, detail oriented, and looking for a place to further your career apply now!

Job Duties:

• Paint parts utilizing HVLP spray equipment.
• Applies masking according to customers blueprints using freehand techniques as well as templates and precut masking.
• Prepares parts for inspection by unmasking, pre inspection, silk-screening, stamping and touch up.
• Works from drawings, sketches, or work instructions to determine processes/procedures to be used.
• Clean and tack parts to ensure no paint failures.

Required Skills:

• Be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization on a daily basis and have strong reading comprehension and listening skills.
• High level of organization and discipline.
• Desire to continually learn and develop technical skills.
• Ability to be very detail orientated.

Preferred Skills:

• The ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints accurately.
• Familiar with common MIL specs as seen in military painting and plating applications.
• Skilled painting ability always maintaining a high level of quality using HVLP equipment.
• Ability to adapt to a large variety of parts varying in shape and size in an efficient manner.
• Mask complex parts efficiently and with extreme precision.
• Able to learn quickly and extremely driven.
