SUMMARY: SUMMARY: The PACS System Analyst is responsible for assuring that the Clinical Cardiology, Radiology Diagnostic Imaging, other imaging specialties and imaging reporting systems are operational and supported for maximum availability. The primary responsibilities will involve analyzing user requirements, configuring the system, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of the organizations imaging systems. This role involves the ongoing task of evaluating workflows and building according to the guidance of the PACS Administrator and PACS Architects. The analyst will work with Clinical Departments, Clinical Engineering, Information Technology, and hospital staff to ensure the integrity of the imaging data and perform QC, as necessary. The PACS System Analyst will provide end-user support and escalate to other members of the PACS team, as needed. This role will also support clinical systems that may not have an imaging component, but that work in concert with clinical areas that require the skillset of a PACS System Analyst. The Analyst must possess the ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, vendors, and the user community.
EXPERIENCE: 3 years hospital experience in Radiology, Cardiology, or equivalent clinical area preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Knowledge of PACS technologies and medical imaging workflows. Proficiency in PACS administration tools.
OTHER: Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues promptly. Understanding of HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Management Information Systems (MIS), Bachelors - Medical Technology, Equivalent Experience - Related Field
