- Performing daily x-ray maintenance audits for all centers;
- Assisting with maintaining a database for the following items:
- Spare equipment rotation
- Preventive maintenance schedules for x-ray equipment and image processing equipment
- State registration and certificates
- Physicist inspections
- Service calls
- Equipment warranties
- Rotating as on-call contact for seven days as primary; seven days as secondary;
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for all x-ray and image processing equipment;
- Scheduling service calls for preventive maintenance and repairs;
- Correcting x-ray orders, charges, merge/split studies, and deleting images from PACS;
- Assisting with correcting radiology transcription;
- Proficient with the electronic medical system;
- Assisting with pre-center opening paperwork and schedules;
- Assisting with setting up the X-ray Department according to the Center Organization Template;
- Providing on-site technical support as directed;
- Attending Supervisors Meetings as directed;
- Contributing to the meeting agenda;
- Communicating with Supervisors to gain feedback for meeting topics;
- Evaluating x-ray equipment, positioning tools, and supplies;
- Answering questions and providing feedback regarding x-ray policies and procedures;
- Verifying that the X-ray Department is complying with center organization standards;
- Providing support for the Radiologists as directed;
- Following up and investigating quality assurance comments made by the Radiologist;
- Acting as x-ray liaison between center staff and administrative staff as directed;
- Handing Physician requests in a respectful and timely manner. Monitoring communications between X-ray Departments and the MIS Department;
- Tracking and correcting items presented on daily audit reports;
- Monitoring file transfers between centers, outside institutions, and the Administrative Offices, and performing corrective actions as needed;
- Maintaining State Quality Control program requirements and completing any required quarterly testing and inspections;
- Implementing Policies and Procedures as directed;
- Reviewing and addressing charge change requests.
Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Employee must be 18 years of age or older;
- Minimum typing experience;
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- At least one year of supervisory experience preferred;
- Registered member of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT);
- Radiologic Technologist licensure in applicable states. Three or more years of experience in digital diagnostic x-rays preferred;
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4-7 hours at a time);
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs;
- Excellent, verbal, written, and typed communications required;
- Ability to prioritize and multitask;
- Ability to travel to all regions as needed;
- Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency, or reduction of work. Responsible for understanding and performing work as a Radiologic Technologist as outlined in the Radiologic Technologist job description;
- Must provide the highest quality medical care and professionalism.
