As a Robot Operator (Trainee), the selected employee must be qualified to operate a stand-up forklift and an electric pallet jack. Separates the various cases of confectionery product by lifting from the conveyor belt to pallet. Knowledge of proper stacking method per product case is essential. Filled pallets are moved off pallet pals to designated area of plant for retrieval by the shipping and receiving department. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Involves the picking of all product mixes and recording of all information in an accurate, timely, and legible manner. Involves resetting alarms and messages on the Marsh system as instructed and posted. Also, primes print heads at start up and as required during shift.
When utilizing computerized palletizing system, fills pallet and tier sheet magazines for each robot cell and removes completed pallets from robot cells. Enters the pallet into computerized WMS system and applies WMS label to pallet. Transfers product to drop-off location for storage or staging. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requires the ability to read and write the English language in order to understand written instructions and prepare routine records and communicate by written reports submitted to others. Must be able to accurately maintain counts, inventories of palletized cases and the like requiring mathematical calculation. Must be able to learn to operate and input using computer. Employee will be required to perform unassisted, regularly lifting of materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
