Overhaul Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

Archaea Energy, a leader in the landfill gas to energy industry has an immediate opening for Overhaul Maintenance Supervisor with 1-5 years of operation & maintenance experience on mobile or stationary engine generator sets up to 1500 kW. Specific experience monitoring plant operations, performing maintenance and repairs on CAT G3500 and G3600 gas engines or similar piston engines, controls, generators and ancillary equipment is desired.

SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri. 6am – 4:30pm, overtime may be required to meet various business needs. This position requires travel up to 80% of the time. The schedule is subject to change per business needs and management discretion.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plans, schedules, and leads major maintenance activities at approximately 20 power plants.
• Leads engine overhaul rebuilds as outlined in company procedures and instructional training.
• Works with Regional Managers to ensure inventory levels are accurate and appropriate, adjust levels with the parts department where need be for major maintenance activities.
• Plans and executes special projects to improve service quality.
• Ensures adherence to Company and Industry standards and compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Ensures all eMaint work orders are properly closed out following major maintenance activities.
• Determines service priorities and schedules plant maintenance and personnel accordingly.
• Communicates and coordinate plant maintenance with site personnel.
• Provides guidance in troubleshooting and finds solutions to equipment problems.
• Assists plants with troubleshooting and repairs including all aspects of electrical generating equipment and plant functions.
• Works with company trainer to ensure achievement of operational training needs for OSHA and non-regulated training related to major maintenance activities.
• Maintains a safe and healthy operational environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
• This is not a complete duty list; the Overhaul Maintenance Supervisor may be required to perform additional duties deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Unyielding dedication to safety and able to positively represent the company’s safety culture.
• Knowledgeable on the use of basic hand tools.
• Basic Mechanical and electrical experience and or training.
• Able to understand and comprehend basic operation of all power plant equipment.
• Read and comprehend equipment manuals.
• The work hours are Mon.-Thur. 6am-4:30pm. The work schedule is subject to change per business needs and management discretion.
• Overtime maybe required to meet various business needs.
• Some travel may be required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Pre-employment drug test, hearing screening and background check required.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to crouch, bend and kneel for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in an environment of constant loud noises and extreme heat.
• HS Diploma required
• Experience with plant operations and maintenance
• Experience with precision machining equipment.
• Experience in operations and maintenance on CAT G3500 and G3600 gas engines and auxiliary equipment.
• Any technical certification or training a plus.
• Must possess various computer skills and have good working knowledge of Word, Excel and email systems.
