The focus of this position is to support the outreach efforts to vulnerable families and individuals in Arlington and North Snohomish County with the Arlington Community Resource Center. This position is particularly important to addressing homelessness and abject poverty in right-of-way areas and assisting those living in unhabitable environments in the community to get connected to resources that lead to stable housing.
Principal activities:
- Provide outreach to literally homeless individuals and families. Ability to build trust and provide high-quality case management to those living in unhabitable conditions.
- Have clear understanding of Foundational Community Supports (FCS), including supportive housing and supportive employment options, maintaining caseload of primarily clients receiving these services. Keep current on available trainings and professional development in FCS efforts at the County and State levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively with non-profit partners, Snohomish County Coordinated Entry officials, local law enforcement and embedded social workers, and other VOAWW programs to ensure continuum of care is provided to clients experiencing homelessness and poverty.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork within given deadlines.
- Work effectively with the ACRC team in center to collaborate on basic need services and long-term support to stay stably housed.
- Strictly follow HIPPAA guidelines and VOAWW policies and procedures.
- Support CRC events throughout the year.
- Other duties as assigned as it relates to the mission of VOAWW’s Community Resource Centers.

QualificationsQualifications:
- At least 2 years working with individuals and/or families experiencing homelessness as well as strong understanding of the Snohomish County Coordinated Entry system.
- Basic understanding of trauma-informed care principles as well as importance of diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Must be able to verbally communicate effectively, as well as in written communication.
- Ability to work independently with strong problem solving skills.
- Basic understanding of MS Office products including Word and Excel. Intermediate knowledge a plus.
- Ability to navigate electronic web portal systems, email, and basic internet.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
- Current WA State drivers license with safe driving record
- Working knowledge of vehicle
