BASIC FUNCTION: The Outreach Coordinator for United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCPIE) will recruit new clients for the Respite Program, speak about services offered by UCPIE and develop relationships with other service organizations that can refer clients for UCPIE services. The Respite Outreach Coordinator is the “face” of UCPIE and will articulate programs and services concisely to help people understand our programs and mission. This position will focus on the expansion of our footprint into any the following Temecula, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Fontana, , Palm Springs area, Coachella Valley, Riverside County, San Bernardino.
QUALIFICATIONS: A.A. in Marketing, Human Services or related fields highly desirable; or high school graduate with experience in social work and outreach work; computer proficient; good written, oral communication skills and organizational skills; bilingual (Spanish). Must be able to meet personnel requirements: ability to pass background check through DOJ and FBI, have a clean driving record (DMV printout will be required) and a valid CA driver’s license, proof of insurance, registration and own means of personal transportation. Must be willing to travel to all areas served by UCPIE throughout the Inland Empire; position works weekends and evenings.
SUPERVISOR: Respite Manager
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend network meetings, trainings, and parent support groups to conduct outreach for respite program, have community presence and develop relationships with other agencies and groups providing services to the disability community.
- Calendar outreach fairs and conferences as a service agency/workshop throughout the year to recruit clients to UCPIE and respite workers.
- Assist with marketing plan/annual outreach calendar for UCPIE.
- Make Program Manager aware of resources for families in the community as well as leads on grants that may arise from field work.
- Post on UCPIE’s social media accounts, resource information for families and photos of events attended.
- Provide Respite Manager with documentation of activities on a monthly basis.
- Monthly calendar of activities
- Provide Manager with outreach event information of events scheduled; must receive prior approval for outreach events.
- Provide Manager with an activity’s report/log of status of each new client enrolling for UCPIE routine respite program.
- Act as liaison between family and IRC to get the potential client IRC qualified in order to sign up for UCPIE services.
- Conduct presentations and develop positive relations with IRC, Case Managers to obtain referrals for new clients.
- Communicate with Respite Manager on new clients that want UCPIE respite services
- Work productively in a team environment.
- Participate in UCPIE family and fundraising events as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
