POSITION OVERVIEW
This Master level clinical position requires a culturally competent, clinically astute individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The Outpatient/School-Based Clinician (hybrid role) is responsible for providing trauma informed clinical services to children and adults through individual, group, and family/couples therapy at the outpatient mental health clinic of Brighton Allston Mental Health Association (BAMHA), A Program of Italian Home for Children, as well as school-based clinical services within Stoughton Public Schools. Outpatient services are primarily in person psychotherapy at the clinic in Brighton, MA with some remote telehealth services as clinically appropriate. Flexible outpatient schedule, with required evening hours at least 2 days per week. The Outpatient/School-Based role requires in person services at the assigned schools on set scheduled days, currently Dawe Elementary and Stoughton High School in Stoughton, MA. School assignments are subject to change. This is a full-time, 12-month salaried position with excellent benefits.
The Outpatient/School-Based Clinician works with clients throughout the lifespan (4-80+ years) that are experiencing major mental illness and/or have experienced complex trauma and adversity that has impacted them socially, emotionally, and/or behaviorally. The Outpatient/School-Based Clinician is responsible for case management and family consultation services. They work closely with the school staff and other treatment providers to provide appropriate case management and consultation services, and to ensure the highest quality of care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients who are students at both schools
- Maintain regular contact with parents/guardians and external collaterals
- Deliver 2-3 hours of non-billable work weekly (subject to change)
- Provide clinical perspective to school staff
- Work closely with interdisciplinary treatment team
- Attend all required clinical and staff meetings
- Facilitate intakes in the outreach school program and process all necessary paperwork
- Complete all required clinical documentation within policy deadlines
- Learn, implement, and demonstrate an understanding of the agency training and treatment philosophy
- Evening and weekend clinician on-call duties approximately one week per quarter
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s level degree in the mental health field
- MA state clinical license (LICSW or LMHC) preferred; license eligible required
- Bilingual language capacity preferred
- 1-2 years post-Master’s experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Prior experience working with youth who have social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs
- Awareness, sensitivity, and respect for cultural differences
