Overview
A Rehab Aide assists the licensed therapist in the provision of physical therapy, speech therapy, and / or occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice and professional guidelines. Performs duties to maintain a safe and clean environment including maintaining clean equipment and clinic space, monitoring inventories, ordering supplies and other administrative duties to support the front end staff as needed. The Rehab Aide may work in an inpatient, outpatient and/or skilled nursing/long term care setting. The Rehab Aide is supervised by Rehab Services management and maintains a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff.

What you will do
- Provides non-skilled patient care activities as directed by therapist or therapy assist.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment wiping down equipment, preparing mat tables for the next patient and managing soiled linens. Assures equipment is ready for use.
- Assists with patient communication regarding schedule or appointments. Assists with audits and reports. Answers the phones.
- Maintains appropriate levels of supplies and assures equipment is ready for use. Stocks shelves, monitors inventory and orders supplies.
- Assists with new employee, student, and volunteer training.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)
Experience
- 1 year Healthcare experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Preferred)
