Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Ice Arena Supervisor, provides responsible supervision of winter warming house programs and activities. Outdoor Rink Attendants may also work as an Indoor Rink Attendant at Chaska Community Center during the busy winter season.
Warming House Hours: Weekdays 4 to 9 pm; Saturdays 10 am to 9 pm; Sundays 1 to 9 pm. Hours may be expanded on certain holidays to accommodate no school.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Opens assigned warming house according to assigned work schedule.
- Communicates & develops positive rapport with warming house and rink users.
- Cleans snow and ice from doors and entry ways when opening and closing daily.
- Performs light maintenance duties as needed or assigned including but not limited to cleaning warming house, tidying up restrooms, and picking up litter.
- Inspects park facilities and grounds for potential maintenance or safety issues and addressing the problems and/or informing Ice Arena Supervisor of those concerns.
- Supervises skaters in warming house and on general skating rink and maintain order.
- Prepares necessary attendance and accident reports.
- Deals effectively with complaints and relays pertinent information to Supervisor regarding program best practices or issues that need to be addressed.
- Attends trainings and staff meetings as required.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Age 16 or older
- Ability to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
- Previous work in a team setting
- Knowledge of ice skating, hockey, figure skating, or ice arena/community center operations
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with Ice Arena supervisor and/or Lead on duty.
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred

- Ability to communicate with patrons of different backgrounds, ages, and experience levels.
- Ability to use good judgement
- Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and practices outside and within facility
- Ability to perform timely and routine regular attendance
