Outbound Transportation Coordinator

Job Description 

The Transportation Coordinator will assist in Domestic Outbound Transportation operations (Retail) by working through daily functions involving Pool and Parcel Retail deliveries. As well as supporting Outbound Domestic line-haul operations.   Transportation modes of Parcel, Pool Deliveries, and domestic US inventory moves will be supported from origin to domestic stores/locations (including Canada).

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

• Provide assistance to internal customers as it relates to the routing, tracking, and delivery performance for all merchandise shipments
• Field inquiries from internal customers and external vendors regarding shipment issues, carrier services and department procedures
• Participate in meetings with internal customers and external service providers
• Contribute to process improvements, both within Transportation and in other internal departments
• Perform ad hoc data collection and support basic analysis as needed
• Perform updates in our Vendor profile system and freight audit application
• Execute performance reports, track and monitor aspects of carrier performance
• Communication with Vendor Partners on shipping schedules, operations, and exceptions

What Do You Need To Bring? 

• Proficient computer skills in Excel and Word
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment and manage competing priorities
• Creative thinking, open-minded
• Previous transportation experience in retail/DTC preferred
