Job Description:
As an Out-of-Network Medical Biller Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing and collections processes while adhering to regulatory guidelines such as the No Surprise Act and Fair Health guidelines. You will be responsible for effectively communicating with patients and physician groups regarding out-of-network balances, conducting timely collection follow-up calls, resolving claim disputes through arbitration, and identifying and addressing any claim delay issues. Additionally, you will be required to accurately interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and collections reports, post payments, and maintain detailed records of actions taken on patient accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and comply with regulatory requirements, including the No Surprise Act and Fair Health guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients and physician groups regarding out-of-network balances.
• Conduct regular, timely collection follow-up telephone calls on assigned accounts.
• Utilize arbitration procedures to resolve claim disputes.
• Identify and resolve claim delay issues impacting billing and collections.
• Accurately interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and collections reports.
• Post payments and follow up on payment errors.
• Maintain detailed records of actions taken on patient accounts and special reports.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Biller.
• Preference for a college degree.
• Experience with out-of-network insurance.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and billing software.
