As we continue to expand and grow, we are seeking a dynamic OSP Engineer Manager to join our team and lead our OSP Engineering efforts.
Job Summary:
As the OSP Engineer Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of skilled field engineers, ensuring the successful execution of projects while adhering to industry standards, safety protocols, and client requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Work with other department heads on both daily and long-term plans to ensure that all the various departments goals are aligned.
- Provide training and field personnel development to both new and existing employees in technology, work practices, etc.
- Build and maintain a teamwork-oriented philosophy and hold team members accountable for their performance.
- Provide the necessary individual counseling for employees whose performance does not meet acceptable standards and take appropriate actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the OSP engineering team, optimizing processes and implementing best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and emerging standards in OSP engineering.
- 5 years of proven experience as an OSP Engineer manager.
- Proven experience in managing a team of at least 10 engineers, preferably in the OSP engineering field.
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to OSP infrastructure.
- Proficiency in using OSP design software and tools such as AutoCAD.
- Proven fielding experience and comfortable working in the field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
- Problem-solving mind set with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions.
- Proven ability to completely coach and develop a fielding team within the telecom industry.
- Must be comfortable going on-site daily.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
