Responsibilities:
- Create and design stamping tooling, making sure to follow project schedules and quality standards. This includes strip layouts, simulations, die building, and press specifications.
- Oversee tooling program development from sourcing to production ready, keeping stakeholders informed of developments along the way.
- Contribute to the improvement of best practices and quality standards by helping to establish and update Die and Gage standards manuals.
- Organize communication between internal business divisions and tools providers to enable smooth project execution and collaboration.
- Diagnose errors, spot areas for development, and put corrective measures in place to maximize output and reduce downtime.
- Manage the tracking and scheduling of tools maintenance using data-driven methods to anticipate and reduce expenses by scheduling necessary tasks in advance.
- Offer sophisticated troubleshooting and floor assistance for production dies and tooling in order to reduce downtime and boost productivity.
- Assess product designs for manufacturing viability, suggesting economical fixes and modifications to process architecture.
- Create progressive stamping dies with great precision for large-scale manufacturing while adhering to technical requirements and standards.
- Department staff members can develop their talents and promote a culture of continuous development by being mentored and trained.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of expertise in tool and die engineering combined with a bachelor's degree in a technical subject, ideally mechanical engineering.
- Expertise in computer-aided design (CAD), with a working knowledge of 2D and 3D design programs like Solidworks, AutoCAD, or comparable applications.
- Good knowledge of tool steel applications, GD&T dimensioning, and ANSI/ISO drawing standards.
- Familiarity with CNC machining technology, wire EDM, and insert molding techniques.
- Proficiency in GD&T interpretation, engineering specification reading, and stamping die cost and schedule estimation.
- Outstanding computational and analytical abilities, as well as the capacity to multitask and adhere to deadlines in a hectic setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities as well as the capacity to function both independently and cooperatively in a group environment.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
