A quick summary about the Manager, Game Operations & Partnership Activationsrole:
The Manager of Game Operations and Partnership Activations is responsible for creating and directing the in-arena show, broadcast graphics, and out-of-arena events. The role will also manage select relationships with partners and manage the activation of all elements provided by the Global Partnerships team. Additionally, this position will be responsible for team relationships with the Osceola Heritage Park employees and partners.
What the Manager ofGame Operations & Partnership Activationswill do:
  • Create first-class entertainment features to ensure partner fulfillment and fan enjoyment.
  • Direct and call all aspects of the in-game presentation.
  • Devise new and creative in-game and in-arena entertainment, including on-court promotions, video and graphic elements, music, fan interactive elements, mascot skits, etc.
  • Oversee operational budget for Game Operations department, including initiating all billing, invoicing and all other financial matters related to game day/event entertainment.
  • Integrate outside talent and props, arena technology and company assets into a cohesive and well-choreographed entertainment package.
  • Oversee the logistics of non-game related events, i.e., season ticket holder events, fan fests, etc.
  • Script event logs, graphics, in-arena and promotional scripts for every home game while also helping work with non-game related events scripting.
  • Lead auditions for anthem singers, hosts, entertainment teams, mascot and other performance elements.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers including talent agencies, sound and video suppliers, prop suppliers, giveaway/promo companies and manufacturers, etc.
  • Work with Director of Marketing and the President of Osceola Magic to devise comprehensive theme night & giveaway schedule.
  • Work with marketing, ticketing and corporate sponsorships departments to ensure all client and fan/group fulfillment is incorporated in game presentations.
  • Maintain, build, recruit and operate the yearly Local Player Tryouts working with basketball operations and facilities.
  • Liaison between the Osceola Heritage Park Center, AdventHealth Fieldhouse and the team with regard to scheduling and procedures.
  • Assist with the coordination of year-round appearances and other special events within the community for the organization through basketball operations.
  • Deliver legendary activation of all partners assets throughout the season with guidance from Global Partnerships and develop an Activation 365 presentation for each partner and proof of performance tracking.
  • Act as the point of contact for select partners/sponsors and key accounts assigned.
  • Act as liaison between the managers and clients by providing consistent communication and excellent customer service to our Premium Sponsors and partners.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What the Manager ofGame Operations & Partnership Activations needs to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or professional equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years proven marketing experience and/or game day operations is preferred, specifically basketball.
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience preferred.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills required.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Strong creative skills, organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Exhibit good leadership, judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the organization.
  • Ability to work all Osceola Magic home games plus a select number of non-Magic events. This includes the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required.

Physical requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand on feet and walk for 3+ hours per game
