Summary:
LVN: Performs assigned nursing duties, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, under the direct supervision of an RN/Physician/Midlevel Provider. Also performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record/documentation, administering medications, giving injections, and taking vital signs.
CCMA: Under the direction of a physician, assist in the delivery of health care for patients. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record/documentation, administering medications, giving injections, and taking vital signs, processing refill request, assisting with office procedures, scheduling appointments and EKG's. Able to work in a team environment. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements
LVN:
- Ability to facilitate communication and problem solving with patients, families, staff physicians, and administration.
- Basic Life Support
- Licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or possesses a temporary permit to practice vocational nursing in Texas. Nurse with temporary permit (GVN) has 75 days to take the NCLEX after they receive the Authorization to Test per Texas Board of Nursing. If GVN fails NCLEX the temporary permit is revoked by the Texas Board of Nursing and job status at Coryell Medical Clinic will be demoted to position and pay prior to GVN status (nurse tech/CNA) or may result in termination. Student Nurse Tech must have completed the LVN program and is awaiting GVN status posting from the school to the BON website.
- Prefer one year or more of nursing clinical experience.
- Prefer the following skills: the ability to multi-task, problem solving, organizational skills, experience using an Electronic Medical Record.
CCMA:
- Ability to facilitate communication and problem solving with patients, families, staff physicians, and administration.
- Basic Life Support
- Certified in the State of Texas as a Certified Medical Assistant
- Prefer one year of medical experience
- Prefer the following skills: the ability to multi-task, problem solving, organizational skills, experience of using an Electronic Medical Record.
