Our office is a prominent, well established general practice with a RAPID growing orthodontic department in the Plantation area. We are looking for an experienced, caring and enthusiastic person to join our fast-paced team.
Key Task
The requirements listed below are representative, but not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All tasks assigned are not limited to other dental assistant duties. All team members will be cross trained to be able to flow together seamlessly throughout a work day.
- Performing orthodontic adjustments
- Preparing teeth for bonding and de-bonding
- Assisting in the placement and removal of appliances
- Sterilizing instruments and operatories
- Taking digital radiographs
- Taking alginate impressions
- Fixed retainer fabrication and cementation
- Bracket set-up/placement
- Charting of patient information
- Communication with patients regarding treatment and oral hygiene
- Encouraging, educating, and motivating patients to follow the recommendations of the Doctor
- Inventory control
- Managing a fast-paced patient schedule
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience
- Position will be for Monday, Wednesday Friday & every other Saturday (as needed)
