ORGANIC SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER GOALS AND FUNCTIONS

 

Position Overview:

 

Responsible for developing and executing Organic Social Media strategies that align with our B2B cleantech clients' brand and campaign objectives and goals and broadening support for our advocacy clients pursuing climate friendly legislation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

●      Create and curate compelling content (text, images, videos) for Social Media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

●      Manage and maintain Social Media calendars, ensuring consistent and timely posting.

●      Schedule approved Social Media content in Hootsuite on a weekly basis

●      Monitor emerging technologies and industry news to inform content and strategy.

●      Nurture and engage online communities in order to drive awareness, support, and growth.

●      Foster and engage with online communities, responding to comments, questions, and messages in a timely manner.

●      Analyze performance metrics and generate monthly reports to assess the effectiveness of Social Media campaigns and communicate which campaigns are most effective, and adjust accordingly.

●      Collaborate with the Campaign Strategist and Account Manager to ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment, the quality of all content and posts, as well as the timely scheduling of all content. 

●      Collaborate with and submit requests to graphic designer and video production / editing vendors to produce content

●      Stay updated on climate tech industry developments and integrate relevant information into Social Media content.

●      Engage with niche trade industry associations, promoting their content where possible, and in return encouraging trade associations to share our news and content

●      Integrating and synthesizing industry research and reports into bite sized content.

●      Repurpose high-performing content to increase audience engagement

●      Keep team informed by updating your work and task status via ClickUp

●      Participate in weekly content strategy and status meetings

●      Continual quest to upskill and use new Social Media tools to improve performance

●      Pivot scheduled content to accommodate breaking news

 

Qualifications:

●      Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.

●      Experience with Social Media monitoring and community engagement

●      Agency experience (marketing, PR, advertising) a must

●      Experience developing video concepts and writing video scripts a must

●      Command of Adobe tools or similar design and video editing tools

●      Familiarity with ChatGPT and/or AI tools

●      Understanding how to incorporate motion graphics into content

●      Outstanding command of the English language

●      Experience in Organic Social Media management for advocacy/public affairs campaigns a PLUS

●      Knowledge of our technology stack, including ClickUp, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and Hootsuite

●      “Solutions-focused” mindset and ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot

●      Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on storytelling and messaging.

●      Understanding the capabilities of graphic design and video editing tools (including AI tools)

●      Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze Social Media analytics and adjust strategies accordingly.

●      Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver according to weekly and monthly deadlines.

●      Passionate about solving climate change

●      Ability to synthesize complex scientific data into bite size copy

●   Increase audience engagement for each Social Media platform

●   Increase followers on every platform as designated by campaign objectives

●   Adhere to draft and publication deadlines as assigned by Office Coordinator

●   Use a balanced blend of static text and images, and video / text motion content on a week-to-week basis
