The Order Processor is responsible for assisting the pick line coordinator, supervisor, and manager in the efficient processing of orders through the Distribution Center. The candidate may be assigned in various work functions, usually limited to the pick and pack lines, but occasionally involved in material handling functions throughout the DC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist management in maintaining general operations on the pick lines, from picking, through inspection, packing, and UPS processing.
- Participate and initiate efforts to maintain housekeeping standards and keep warehouse shipping and receiving resources in top working order.
- May perform clerical duties, including invoicing, filing, and record retention.
- Participate in efforts to enhance warehousing operational processes, procedures, and efficiencies.
- Assist supervision and management in the communication and monitoring of safe work practices to prevent accidents.
- Participate in the development and implementation of employee and department incentives in order to recognize excellent performance and maintain established company objectives.
- Participate in periodic inventory activities, including cycle counting, physical inventory, and inventory locations set-ups and modifications.
- Works effectively with co-workers, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; and respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions, words, and deeds.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of operations/warehouse experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
- Ability to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards in our DC
- Physical ability to access all levels and areas of the facility
- Ability to interpret and understand policies and procedures and relate them to others.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- PC literate with Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work overtime and on weekends
- Detail-oriented
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
The wage for this position is $18.50 per hour.
