We are currently seeking a Oracle Database Administrator - REMOTE - 24/7 Support to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri (US-MO), United States (US).
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Assist with Oracle patching and upgrade tasks
- Implement and support tasks such as patching coordination, backup and recovery procedures, database utilities, and data replication technologies for both PROD and NON-PROD environments
- Assist with Data Guard implementation and support tasks
- Modify database changes using PowerDesigner and creating sql scripts to implement
- Review and Monitor SQL Performance
- Monitoring of DB server health, such as memory utilization, table space, CPU utilization, etc.
- Log, schedule and track all changes using change management system tools
- Responsible for all corrections to the database infrastructure and for repairs to the system or database
- Protecting our customers and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions
- Work with application owners and DBAs to ensure database compliance standards are maintained
- Available for on call rotation with team, tentatively every 2 weeks, as well as light on call after hours support, as determined by patching requests and incidents in team queue
- Perform MySQL data audit scripts
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years of experience with multiple facets of Oracle Data Guard, including physical and Active DG
- 3 years of experience with Oracle database patching experience
- 3 years of experience in an Oracle DBA position or related experience
- 3 years of Oracle database platform experience
- 1 year of AWS/Database using postgresSQL, mySQL
- 1 year experience Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) version 10g or higher
- 1 year Unix scripting
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Ability to work in a 24/7 Support environment
Preferred Skills:
- Proficient Oracle DBA knowledge including upgrades, patching, RMAN backup/recovery
- Strong communication skills with the ability to transcend the organization with appropriate levels of detail
- Strong teamwork, decision-making, documentation and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Service Management best practices (Incident, Problem, and Change Management)
- Experience protecting Confidential and Highly-Confidential database content
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle 19C is preferred
- Experience with one of more of the following databases: MSSQL Server, and/or Open database platforms such MariaDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL is preferred
- Experience with Terraform and bitbucket
- Knowledge of database encryption is preferred
- Familiarity with cloud solutions like Amazon and Azure is preferred
- Knowledge of PCI or other IT Security compliance standard is preferred
- Knowledge of Data Governance best practices is preferred
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $78,100 – 162,600. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
