Oracle Database Administrator

We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Oracle Database Administratorto join our Data and Analytics team. This role is located in Wellesley, MA. and will work a Hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week in-office required) . Candidate must reside within a commutable distance to this work location, as we are unable to accommodate 100% virtual work arrangements.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provide day-to-day administration and support functions(monitoring, maintenance, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting) for hundreds of Oracle databases.
  • Work closely with internal organizations to respond to client issues and support requests.
  • Monitor database availability, space and performance.
  • Perform backup and restoration of databases.
  • Improve database performance by tuning individual SQL statements, implementing architectural changes or configuring database parameters.
  • Optimize environment management through standardization and automation.
  • Provide on-call support for database environments on a rotating schedule.
  • Evaluate new features and functionality.
  • Setup and maintain Oracle GoldenGate services for client data replication.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred6-8 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Experience with the design and modification of structures in a relational database environment such as Oracle Database or SQL Server. Excellent problem-solving skills and skilled at troubleshooting issues over multiple technical environments.
  • Good understanding of Oracle Architecture and Internals.Strong database DBA experience in managing Oracle versions 12c/19c.
  • Experienced in Oracle database Upgrades and Patch management.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle ASM administration, experience with backup/recovery solutions using RMAN.
  • Experience in setting up and troubleshooting Oracle Data Guard.
  • Experience with identifying and tuning SQL queries using Oracle Technologies.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC clustering.
  • Experience with managing databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
  • Experience in Automating DBA tasks using shell script and other programming languages.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata cloud at Customer (a plus).
  • Experienced in implementing and administering Goldengate replication (a plus).
  • Experience with SQL Server administration (a plus).
