Description:
- 8 + years experience administering to, and engineering solutions with MySQL and Oracle’s database (10 – 12). Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
- Installing and configuring new MySQL servers (5.x and 8.x)
- Upgrading MySQL databases, both major and minor revisions
- Administering MySQL account access, backups and table spaces
- Migrating MySQL databases
- Monitoring MySQL server performance
- Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery desired
- Experience with Streams / GoldenGate, DB security, DB Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration desired
- Occasional after hours call-in required on an as needed basis.
- BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent year’s experience.
- Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.
- Must be COMPTIA / IAT 2 Certified
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Minimum General Experience: At least ten (10) years developing and delivering IT Architectures or IT systems design/ engineering services or supported that activity with an organization.
- Functional Responsibility: Provides architecture and business consulting services. Functions as lead consultant and project manager on technically complex projects.
- Minimum Education: A BS in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent years of experience.
